That's not "data" — that's privacy. Wingprint has no server of its own. No telemetry. No third-party analytics SDK. Every trace lives only in Core Data on your device. You may back it up to iCloud, or stay fully offline. Either way, it never passes through us.

A quiet map shouldn't work that way. Wingprint opens when you need it, closes when you don't. It never asks for a review, and no server ever pings you "you haven't opened me in 3 days". It's just there. Waiting for you to walk.

数据到底会不会上传?Is my data ever uploaded?

默认只在你手机本地 · 雁过留痕 没有自己的服务器 · 不发埋点。iCloud 备份是可选的 · 你自己开 · 走的是 Apple 的通道 · 也过不到我这里。By default it stays on your phone. Wingprint has no server, no telemetry. iCloud backup is optional, opt-in, and goes through Apple only — it never touches me.

核心功能会一直可用吗?Will the core features always be available?

会 · 记录 · 查看 · 导出 · 省份/徽章 —— 这些主线功能不会关。少量高级功能(比如更长的历史统计维度)是可选订阅 · 不解锁也完全够用。Yes. Record, view, export, regions, badges — the main line stays open. A few advanced features (like longer historical rollups) are behind an optional subscription. You don't need to unlock them to use the app fully.

手机丢了数据会没吗?What if I lose my phone?

如果没开 iCloud 备份 · 是的 · 会没 · 建议在设置里定期导出 Wingprint 原生格式或 GPX 归档到你自己的地方。If iCloud backup isn't on, yes — the data is gone. I recommend exporting periodically (Wingprint's native format or GPX) to a place you control.

后台记录耗电吗?Does background recording drain the battery?

雁过留痕 不做全程 GPS 高频轮询 · 而是让系统的 Motion Activity 先判断"你在走"再触发 GPS · 静止和坐车基本不采点。具体耗电和你走多久 / 手机型号 / 卫星信号都相关 · 我们尽量把它压到最低,但不做"绝对数字"承诺。Wingprint doesn't run high-frequency GPS all the time. It uses the system's Motion Activity to detect walking first, and only then samples GPS — sitting or riding barely triggers anything. Actual battery use depends on your walk length, phone model, and signal. We keep it as low as we can, but we don't promise an exact number.

为什么只做 iOS?Why only iOS?

一个人做的 App · Android 版本还没能力维护 · 抱歉。It's a one-person app. I don't have the bandwidth to maintain an Android version yet — sorry.

作者怎么赚钱?How does the author make money?
